eighty3 to Host ‘F&B Sundays’ Series

Free Sunday night tastings for Memphis restaurant and bar service staff

eighty3 will kick off a four-week, Sunday night free tasting series for Memphis food and beverage industry service staff, including bartenders, wait staff, hostesses and doormen, beginning Feb. 26 from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Each F&B Sundays event will include tastings of special items from the eighty3 menu prepared by executive chef Connor O’Neill.

The event, initiated by O’Neill, was spawned from similar events held in other metropolitan cities and is intended to be a celebration of the front-line staff at Memphis’ restaurants and bars. It also offers the opportunity for the city’s bartenders, wait staff, hostesses and doormen to experience the food and atmosphere of the new eighty3.

The front-line staff is valuable to a restaurant’s business - keeping us chefs busy in the kitchen,” O’Neill said. “We want to offer them the opportunity to use a Sunday night off to stop by and experience eighty3 for free. It’s a night out on us!”

Only 30 reservations will be accepted each Sunday and can be made by emailing full name and place of employment to info@eighty3memphis.com by noon on the Friday before each event. Confirmations will be sent to the first 30 respondents via email by the end of the day on Friday. Reservations are limited to one event per person.
